THE HEART YOU BREAK THE HARDEST

I loved writing the Heart You Break The Hardest with Nashville native Elena Giordano. Her beautiful melodies always make my words soar – and in the most special way. There’s a sense of rightness – and “lightness” – in the fit between words and music that just “pings” and I feel so lucky to have met her in country music’s amazing capital city and written all the songs we’ve written together … including Uncrossing Every Star, Catch Love So Easily, Take Back The Hurt … and a few more still to be released!!

The Heart You Break The Hardest won the Tamworth Songwriters’ Association (TSA) Lyric Prize in the 2021 Songwriting Contest and I was just so thrilled – even though we were back in pandemic lockdown at the time and I couldn’t pick up the trophy in person!!! Elena and I, by the way, are pictured here in the Gulch in Nashville leaning on an absolutely gorgeous visual cornucopia of a mural-ed wall in the rain – in November!!!
